Head of Marketing and Communications

About the role

HWLE, Australia's largest legal partnership, is looking for an experienced marketing leader to join its national team as Head of Marketing and Communications. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, you will lead the integrated marketing and communications function, combining brand, communications, thought leadership, digital marketing, social media and design to raise the firm's profile and support its growth strategy. The role is highly visible, working closely with the leadership team, practice groups and partners on campaigns, market positioning and a consistent client experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the national marketing and communications team and shape how the firm presents itself to clients, the market and its people.
• Develop campaigns and strengthen market positioning in partnership with the firm's leadership and partners.
• Ensure a consistent and engaging client experience across all touchpoints.
• Deliver thought leadership, content and profile-building initiatives that strengthen brand recognition and client engagement.

Required profile

• Senior leadership experience across marketing, communications, brand, content or digital functions in a professional services or complex stakeholder environment.
• Proven track record of integrated marketing and communications strategies supporting commercial growth.
• Experience leading brand strategy, positioning and value proposition development.
• Experience leading major campaigns and managing sensitive communications, stakeholder considerations and reputation matters.
• Demonstrated experience leading, coaching and developing high-performing teams.
• Full working rights in Australia; applicants based in Sydney or Melbourne are eligible for flexible 3:2 work arrangements.
