Head of Indirect Tax Compliance – Bangkok (Relocation)

About the role

Agoda is seeking a Head of Indirect Tax Compliance to lead VAT, GST and other indirect tax matters across its global operations. Based in Bangkok with relocation support, you will report to the Associate Director, Tax and work closely with finance, legal and IT teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage overall indirect tax compliance and advisory activities for the business.
• Assess indirect tax positions, interpret business models and define tax requirements for new products and programs.
• Research global indirect tax developments and implement necessary process changes.
• Lead tax projects to ensure new service or country launches are tax‑compliant.
• Ensure indirect taxes are correctly reflected in financial systems such as Oracle.
• Reconcile revenue, purchase, output and input VAT/GST with financial statements.
• Coordinate with external advisors for tax advice, reporting and payments.
• Promote indirect tax awareness throughout the Agoda group.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Tax, Accounting or a related field.
• Extensive experience in indirect tax compliance (VAT, GST, sales tax) across multiple jurisdictions.
• Proven ability to work with cross‑functional teams and external advisors.

Required skills

• Oracle financial applications.
