Head of Faculty English – Secondary Teacher (English & Literature)

About the role

Flinders Christian Community College is looking for an experienced educator with a strong commitment to Christian education to join its Tyabb campus as Head of Faculty English. The role combines faculty coordination with teaching, and complements the work of the Head of Secondary and Deputy Head of Teaching and Learning. It is a full-time, ongoing position commencing Term 1, 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Teach Secondary School English and Literature
• Coordinate the English faculty
• Support student growth academically, spiritually and personally
• Take part in the wider life of the College, including co-curricular activities, pastoral care and staff collaboration

Required profile

• Experience in secondary English and literature teaching
• A genuine passion for teaching and Christian education
• Exceptional interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students and colleagues
• Commitment to lifelong learning and continuous professional development
• Experience in flexible learning environments and a collaborative approach to team teaching
• Right to work in Australia and current VIT registration
