Guest Service Agent - Overnight (Part-Time)

About the role

ibis Budget Melbourne Airport, located just minutes from Melbourne Airport, is looking for a reliable, self-motivated Guest Service Agent (Overnight) for its Front Office team. As the sole team member on duty for much of the shift, you will ensure guest satisfaction, hotel security and smooth overnight operations. Daytime shifts may also be offered. Working rights in Australia are required; student visa holders are welcome to apply.

Key responsibilities

• Process guest arrivals, departures and room allocations
• Provide warm, professional and friendly service to all guests
• Respond to guest enquiries and resolve concerns promptly
• Manage reservations and front office administration
• Maintain the safety and security of guests, staff and the property overnight
• Carry out property checks and overnight audit procedures
• Ensure accurate handover information is given to the morning team

Required profile

• Positive, proactive and guest-focused attitude
• Ability to work independently and without direct supervision
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Calm, professional approach to guest complaints
• Availability for overnight shifts (11:00pm to 7:00am), Saturdays and Sundays
• Previous Guest Service Agent, Front Office or Night Guest Service Agent experience preferred

Required skills

• Opera Cloud experience is advantageous
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
