Group Head of Tax and Treasury

About the role

IDP, a global provider of international education services and an Australian-listed company, is looking for a Group Head of Tax and Treasury based in Melbourne. Reporting to the Group Finance Director, the role sets and executes IDP's global tax and treasury strategy and advises senior executives and governance forums on complex international tax, treasury and capital management matters. It is not a traditional compliance-focused tax leadership role.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the global tax and treasury strategy and advise executives and governance forums on strategic tax and treasury matters
• Oversee international tax structuring, transfer pricing and cross-border financing initiatives
• Drive the tax operating model transformation linked to the Oracle Fusion transformation, including standardisation and automation
• Lead treasury strategy covering liquidity, funding, cash repatriation, foreign exchange and capital management
• Build a high-performing global tax capability
• Strengthen governance, controls and risk management frameworks globally

Required profile

• Significant senior tax leadership experience in multinational corporate and/or professional services environments
• Strong international tax, transfer pricing and tax governance expertise
• Meaningful treasury experience, including liquidity, funding and FX risk management
• Experience influencing executives, Boards and governance committees
• Proven track record of driving transformation, standardisation and process improvement
• Commercially minded, future-focused approach to tax leadership
• Experience in listed or multinational organisations highly regarded
