Group Finance Manager (Maternity Cover)

About the role

Airlock Digital, a private equity-backed cybersecurity software business, is looking for a Group Finance Manager to report to the Group Financial Controller. The role takes ownership of an accurate, timely month-end close and day-to-day finance operations across the group, combining technical accounting, problem-solving and team leadership. It is a maternity cover assignment, and the candidate will also contribute to ERP implementation and agreed process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the general ledger and month-end close across AU, US and other entities, completing the close by business day 5
• Prepare and review journals, and prepare revenue, deferred revenue, balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting and support group consolidation
• Review financial results, investigate variances and coordinate AP, AR and other close inputs
• Oversee global billing, collections, accounts payable, employee expenses and corporate cards; monitor receivables and payables and maintain cash flow forecasts
• Review payroll calculations and prepare commission calculations in line with approved incentive plans
• Support tax and statutory compliance, audits and internal controls, including segregation of duties
• Support annual budgeting, forecasting and performance monitoring against budget
• Support finance system configuration, workflow and integration improvements, and ERP implementation
• Manage and support the Senior AR and AP Officers and the Financial Accountant, and keep process documentation up to date

Required profile

• Proven track record of delivering accurate month-end closes in a multi-entity environment, including revenue recognition, intercompany accounting and balance sheet reconciliations
• Experience overseeing AP and AR operations and managing finance team members
• Experience reviewing payroll and preparing commission or incentive calculations
• SaaS or technology company experience highly regarded

Required skills

• Advanced Excel
• Proficiency in accounting and finance systems; Xero and Maxio highly desirable
• Experience improving finance processes and supporting system implementations
