Graduate Software Engineer – Engine

About the role

Engine by Starling is looking for passionate Graduate Software Engineers to join its Sydney team. You will work on real‑world banking SaaS projects from day one, building new features and delivering outcomes for global clients.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the award‑winning platform and internal tools by building new features in a configurable way.
• Collaborate in small, cross‑functional teams to own and deliver projects.
• Take ownership of your work, solving a variety of problems and challenges.

Required profile

• Recent university graduate (or graduating end of academic year) with a genuine interest in software engineering.
• Ability to write quality code and work effectively in a team.
• Excellent communication, proactive attitude and openness to feedback.
• Eligible to work in Australia and available to start full‑time in early 2027.
