Graduate Site Reliability Engineer

About the role

Join Axon’s Site Reliability Engineering team to help build and maintain reliable, scalable, and secure cloud platforms. This graduate role offers the chance to work on mission‑critical cloud‑native services, contribute to system stability, and grow under senior mentorship.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to building and maintaining reliable, scalable, and secure cloud platforms and tools.
• Apply SRE principles to improve system stability and performance.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in distributed cloud‑native systems.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to support service reliability and operational excellence.
• Create and maintain documentation to improve self‑service capabilities.
• Participate in on‑call rotations and incident response.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Approximately 1 year of experience in software engineering, SRE, or infrastructure.
• Australian citizenship or ability to obtain government security clearance.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and willingness to learn.
• Good communication and collaboration abilities.

Required skills

• Solid understanding of Linux operating systems.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
• Experience with Kubernetes platforms (AKS, EKS, or similar).
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Go, C#, Java, etc.).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation.
• Experience with observability tools (logging, metrics, APM).
• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, etc.).
