Graduate Process Engineer

About the role

InfraBuild Reinforcing, a 2026 AFR BOSS Best Places to Work Gold Winner and 2026 World Steel Association Sustainability Champion, invites recent or soon-to-be graduates to join its 2027 Graduate Program as a Graduate Process Engineer at its Forrestfield site. Starting in January 2027, the program is a two-year fixed-term contract with the potential for permanent placement, with continuous coaching, mentorship and formal training across business units.

Key responsibilities

• Project management: lead and coordinate projects effectively
• Continuous improvement: identify and deliver improvements in safety, productivity, efficiency and production flow
• Engineering projects: support machinery upgrades, new equipment installations, commissioning and factory layout projects
• Production and process improvement: analyse production performance and help reduce downtime, handling and process inefficiencies
• Equipment reliability and safety: work with Operations and Maintenance to improve machine reliability, guarding and safe operation
• Operational support: work with supervisors and operators on the factory floor to turn engineering solutions into practical improvements

Required profile

• Recent mechanical, manufacturing or industrial engineering graduate, or someone with a genuine passion for these fields in the context of steel manufacturing and distribution
• Australian or NZ citizenship, or a visa granting unlimited working rights
• Completion of an Australian tertiary degree within the past three years (or set to conclude in 2026)
• Two years of full-time, discipline-specific work experience
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, curiosity and initiative, and comfort in a hands-on manufacturing environment
