Graduate Engineer - Industrial Vibration

About the role

Vipac Engineers & Scientists is recruiting a Graduate Engineer to join its Industrial team in Spring Hill, Brisbane. The team works as consultants on industrial vibration applications, machine reliability, structural dynamics and structural design, with projects involving vibration data collection and analysis for structural integrity, fatigue failure, machine reliability and fluid dynamics. The role involves travel throughout Queensland and other states.

Required profile

• Degree or postgraduate qualification in mechanical engineering or a similar science degree.
• Recent graduate or candidate with 0 to 2 years' experience.
• Interest and knowledge in vibration, dynamics, stress analysis and/or acoustics.
• Competent writing and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel for field work.
• Team player who can also work independently when required.

Required skills

• Computational modelling and engineering programming (ANSYS, MATLAB, Python or similar).
• Data acquisition and finite element modelling (static, dynamic and acoustic).
