Geotechnical/Civil Engineer

About the role

ATC Williams is seeking a motivated Geotechnical/Civil Engineer to join its Perth team on a permanent full‑time basis. You will work on challenging mining, tailings, water and civil infrastructure projects across Australia and internationally, developing both technical and client‑facing skills.

Key responsibilities

• Independently deliver technical investigations, analysis, design and reporting for assigned work packages.
• Prepare high‑quality technical reports, calculations, specifications, drawings and project documentation.
• Plan and coordinate field investigations, manage contractors and drilling programmes, and ensure data collection meets project standards.
• Assist Project Managers with planning, scheduling and coordination, monitoring progress and communicating risks.
• Participate in site inspections, technical reviews and mentor undergraduate/graduate staff.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
• Approximately 3+ years of consulting or industry experience in geotechnical engineering, engineering geology, tailings, mining infrastructure or land development.
• Strong attention to detail, technical accuracy and ability to work with limited supervision.
• Willingness to travel regularly within Western Australia and hold a current Australian driver’s licence.
