General Practitioner – Port Hedland, WA

About the role

The Medical Centre is seeking a qualified General Practitioner to join its newly fitted‑out family practice in Port Hedland, Western Australia. The role involves providing comprehensive primary care within a busy shopping centre environment, Monday to Friday 8 am‑5 pm.

Key responsibilities

• Examine patients, take medical histories and order laboratory, X‑ray and other diagnostic tests.
• Consult with other medical practitioners to assess physical and mental health.
• Prescribe and administer medications and treatments, including vaccinations.
• Provide health promotion, disease prevention and lifestyle counseling to patients and families.
• Deliver sub‑specialty services such as occupational health, skin cancer management, minor procedures, women’s health and chronic disease management.

Required profile

• Qualified General Practitioner registered to practice in Australia.
• Willingness to work weekdays 8 am‑5 pm in an onsite clinic.
• Ability to collaborate with nursing staff, allied health professionals and visiting specialists.
• Flexibility to cover a range of GP sub‑specialties as listed above.
