General Manager, Wentworth Quarter Build-to-Rent

About the role

Essence Communities, part of UniLodge Living Group, is looking for an accomplished General Manager to oversee Wentworth Quarter, a premium, stabilised Build-to-Rent community opened in 2024. The role balances commercial outcomes with an exceptional resident experience and sits between the client, senior leadership and the onsite team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across the property, with end-to-end accountability for asset performance, financial outcomes, leasing, compliance, building presentation, resident experience and team leadership.
• Lead day-to-day operations and drive delivery against financial and operational KPIs.
• Maximise asset performance through effective leasing, revenue optimisation, retention strategies and value-add initiatives.
• Partner with the Leasing Manager to oversee leasing performance across lease-up and stabilisation, maximising occupancy and rental returns.
• Empower a high-performing onsite team and champion a premium resident experience that builds community and long-term retention.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading a large-scale residential, Build-to-Rent, hotel or similarly complex asset.
• Current NSW Class 1 Real Estate Licence (required).
• Current working rights in Australia and ability to provide a valid National Police Check.

Required skills

• Strong commercial and financial acumen, including managing budgets, forecasts and performance against KPIs.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and inspire high-performing teams.
