General Foreman - Civil Construction & Bridge Rehabilitation

About the role

Ecospec, part of the Leed Group, is a team of engineers and skilled tradespeople delivering remedial engineering, durability and protection solutions for infrastructure. As General Foreman you report to the Project Manager and lead site-based teams on civil construction and bridge rehabilitation projects. You oversee daily operations, work sequencing, resource allocation and subcontractor management, and act as the main link between project stakeholders, site personnel and subcontractors. The role supports the establishment and growth of Ecospec's Queensland operations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan the work for the coming days and weeks, sequencing crews, plant and access
• Supervise one or more crews on all aspects of the work, including marine and coastal remediation and maintenance solutions
• Run project and site inductions and orientations for staff, clients, subcontractors, contractors, labour hire, agency staff and visitors
• Share company and project information so site personnel can work safely and effectively
• Set and maintain work standards and behavioural expectations
• Promote teamwork and harmony between construction crews

Required profile

• Demonstrated capacity to lead and manage a site team operationally and in terms of professional development
• Extensive experience in program management and delivery
• Ability to plan initiatives strategically, set team targets and drive change
• Experience in financial management and contributing to project budgets
• Strong technical skills with a client solution focus
