General Duties Assistant - Vehicle Logistics Support

About the role

St John WA, an integrated healthcare provider in Western Australia, is looking for a General Duties Assistant to join its State Control and Logistics department on a permanent full-time basis. The role provides logistical support to deliver vehicles to and from the workshop, and offers general support around the workshop such as maintaining spares levels, vehicle detailing and cleaning.

Key responsibilities

• Transport vehicles between depots, workshops, suppliers and auctioneers for maintenance, repairs and disposal
• Provide detailing services for vehicles before they are delivered to depots and regional centres
• Maintain stock and spare parts in the workshop
• Provide general cleaning services around the workshop
• Ensure administrative tasks comply with company policies and procedures
• Maintain a safe work environment and comply with occupational health and safety policies and procedures

Required profile

• Background in corporate, health, community or commercial sectors
• Experience in a customer service or patient care environment (highly desirable)
• C Class driver's licence; Light Rigid (LR) licence desirable
• Knowledge of systems, tools and processes relevant to the position
• Ability to work independently and in a team, with good problem-solving and attention to detail
