About the role

Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School is seeking a full‑time Classroom Teacher to join its supportive community from 27 January 2027. The role is open to graduate and early‑career teachers who share the school’s Catholic ethos and commitment to child safety.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons using the Explicit Instruction approach and the Science of Learning.
  • Monitor, evaluate and report student progress across key learning areas.
  • Build positive, supportive relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
  • Use data to inform teaching strategies and improve outcomes.

Required profile

  • Demonstrated commitment to Catholic values and the safety and wellbeing of children.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and organisational abilities.
  • Current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).
  • Willingness to work collaboratively within a team‑based environment.

Required skills

  • Knowledge of the Explicit Instruction approach to teaching.
  • Ability to interpret and apply data‑driven insights to classroom practice.
