Full-Time Cook – Early Learning Centre

About the role

G8 Education is looking for an experienced Cook to prepare high-quality, nutritious meals and snacks for up to 160 children each day at its Pakenham centre. The role is full-time, 38 hours per week, with weekly pay and a wage above award. The centre operates from 6:30am to 6:30pm and offers indoor and outdoor play areas, age-appropriate technology and learning resources.

Key responsibilities

• Produce nutritious meals and snacks for up to 160 children daily
• Plan menus that meet nutritional guidelines
• Manage dietary and allergy-safe requirements
• Maintain a clean and safe kitchen in line with Food Safety regulations
• Work in a team with good communication and interpersonal skills

Required profile

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or an ACECQA-approved Early Childhood qualification, with experience in a cook role
• Current Working with Children's Check
• Completed or willing to complete the Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
• Available for set shift days and times, Monday to Friday
