Casual Cook – Early Learning Centre

About the role

Creative Garden Early Learning Pakenham is looking for an experienced Cook to prepare high-quality, nutritious meals and snacks for up to 121 children each day. The centre offers indoor and outdoor play areas, age-appropriate technology and learning resources, and operates from 6:30am to 6:30pm. This is a casual role with weekly pay, above award wage and a 25% discount on childcare fees.

Key responsibilities

• Produce nutritious meals and snacks for children in line with the centre's menus
• Plan menus, manage budgets, order and control stock
• Prepare food safely according to dietary and allergy requirements
• Maintain a clean and safe kitchen in line with Food Safety regulations

Required profile

• A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or an ACECQA-approved Early Childhood qualification, plus experience in a cook role
• Current Working with Children's Check
• Completed or willing to complete the Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
• Available for set shift days and times, Monday to Friday
