Full Stack Software Engineer (.NET / Angular / React)

About the role

An experienced Full Stack Software Engineer is sought for a major Federal Government digital transformation program, delivering secure, scalable and innovative digital solutions. You will work in multidisciplinary Agile teams with business analysts, architects and stakeholders to design, build and enhance enterprise applications supporting interoperability, workflow automation, conformance assessment and digital service delivery. The initial contract is 6 months, commencing January 2027, with locations in ACT, NSW or QLD and a hybrid arrangement of at least 1 day per week in the office.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain enterprise web applications, APIs and integration services
• Translate business and functional requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Build and support Single Page Applications (SPAs)
• Develop automated testing using Behaviour Driven Development (BDD), including Gherkin specifications and Cucumber test frameworks
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices and automated deployments
• Develop workflow automation, reporting and data management capabilities
• Troubleshoot application defects and performance issues, and produce technical documentation

Required profile

• Commercial experience developing enterprise applications with C#, ASP.NET Core (.NET 6/8+), Angular, React and TypeScript
• Solid experience designing APIs and microservices, and understanding of architecture, design patterns and secure coding
• Entity Framework and SQL database experience
• Agile delivery experience and proven BDD scenario creation with Gherkin and Cucumber
• Baseline security clearance required
• Desirable: healthcare interoperability standards, HL7 FHIR, digital health projects, cloud platforms and a degree in computing or IT

Required skills

• DevOps: Git, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines
• Strong stakeholder engagement and teamwork in Agile environments
