Fuel Reception Operator

About the role

The Fuel Reception Operator will implement and monitor systems and processes to maximise plant performance while ensuring health, safety and environmental compliance on a 24‑hour shift basis. Working as part of a team, you will support material and traffic control throughout the waste‑to‑energy facility.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine tasks and testing of plant equipment.
• Update the shift log with plant and process changes and ensure a diligent handover to the next shift.
• Operate the weighbridge and off‑loading systems in line with contractual requirements.
• Report defects in the CMMS promptly and ensure planned preventive maintenance is completed.
• Assist the Tipping Hall Supervisor with timely operation of materials‑management systems and processes.
• Build strong working relationships with Shift Fuel Reception Operators to enable seamless workflows.

Required profile

• 3+ years of industrial work experience.
• Previous experience in renewable energy or waste‑management sectors (highly desirable).
• 2+ years working with heavy machinery and moving plant.
• High attention to detail and a full driving licence.
• Experience collaborating with large, diverse operations & maintenance teams.

• CMMS (defect reporting and maintenance tracking).
• Weighbridge operation.
