Freight Coordinator – Same Day & Premium Services

About the role

Team Global Express is looking for a Freight Coordinator to join its Melbourne Airport team. This permanent full‑time position runs night shifts and focuses on coordinating urgent Same Day and Premium freight movements, ensuring safe and on‑time delivery while providing top‑class customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate bookings through to delivery for Same Day and Premium services, allocating jobs to drivers, subcontractors and service providers.
• Monitor freight movements, track consignments and manage delivery performance throughout the shift.
• Communicate updates to customers, drivers and internal teams, handling disruptions and finding effective solutions.
• Prepare quotes, process bookings, and respond to enquiries via phone, email and Salesforce.
• Maintain accurate operational documentation, Proof of Delivery and records in internal systems.

Required profile

• Previous experience in transport, logistics, courier or a fast‑paced operational environment (preferred).
• Strong customer service and stakeholder management abilities.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities under time‑sensitive conditions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience using operational systems such as Salesforce.
