Freight Coordinator

About the role

Mineral Resources’ Distribution Centre in High Wycombe is looking for a proactive Freight Coordinator to manage the movement of domestic freight, mainly between Perth and mining sites across Western Australia. Reporting to the Logistics Manager, you will ensure shipments are booked, tracked and delivered in compliance with all regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end freight bookings for road and air services using Bustle P2P Transport Management System and third‑party portals.
• Prepare and maintain all required transport documentation.
• Track and trace consignments to guarantee timely and accurate delivery.
• Reconcile freight costs to provide accurate cost visibility.
• Liaise with internal departments to support operational needs and resolve freight‑related requests.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives for freight processes and service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility obligations and all relevant transport regulations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a freight or logistics environment, preferably within the mining or resources sector.
• Familiarity with transport documentation processes and regulatory compliance, including Chain of Responsibility and dangerous goods.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to work with carriers, internal stakeholders and external partners.
• High attention to detail, excellent organisational and time‑management skills.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Relevant logistics, transport or administration qualifications are desirable but not essential.
