FP&A Manager

About the role

An experienced Financial Planning & Analysis Manager is needed to lead budgeting, forecasting and strategic financial modelling for a top-tier Australian law firm.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the annual budgeting process and ongoing financial forecasting across the firm and practice groups.
• Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic planning, revenue projections and profitability analysis.
• Analyse performance against budgets, identify variances, risks and opportunities, and deliver insights to senior leadership.
• Partner with practice group leaders, business development and pricing teams to improve profitability and resource allocation.
• Prepare monthly management reports, executive dashboards and financial performance presentations.

Required profile

• CA, CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
• Proven experience in financial planning, commercial finance or finance business partnering, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment.
• Strong understanding of financial performance drivers, budgeting, forecasting and profitability analysis.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders, challenge assumptions and drive commercial decisions.
• Experience managing or mentoring finance professionals is advantageous.
