Founding Data Lead

About the role

Skip-loans is building the fastest, most intelligent home loan platform in Australia and needs its first dedicated data hire to turn raw data into trusted, decision‑ready answers.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end data stack, from ingestion pipelines into Snowflake to clean, reconciled business‑ready models covering the loan book, arrears, originations and acquisition funnel.
• Establish metric definitions and a data dictionary to ensure consistent numbers across credit, finance and board reporting.
• Build core dashboards and reporting for the business, board, warehouse‑funders and regulators, ensuring external numbers are trustworthy.
• Partner with Growth, Credit, Ops, Finance and Treasury to translate vague questions into concrete recommendations.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data analysis or BI, with a senior level of autonomy and breadth.
• Proven track record of owning a production data stack, including pipelines and a tested, version‑controlled model layer.
• Strong business‑facing analysis skills, able to define metrics, manage stakeholders and turn numbers into decisions.
