Formwork Carpenter - Marine and Defence Projects

About the role

RC Construction is looking for experienced Formwork Carpenters to join its Northern Territory project teams delivering major infrastructure projects across Darwin. The position is permanent and full-time, Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays, 10-hour days, supporting Form, Reo & Pour (FRP) works on local marine and defence projects.

Key responsibilities

• Construct, install, align and dismantle formwork systems according to project drawings and specifications
• Read and interpret construction plans, drawings and specifications accurately
• Assist with reinforcing steel installation and concrete placement during the FRP cycle
• Erect formwork safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards
• Work with site supervisors, engineers and project teams to reach project milestones
• Operate hand tools, power tools and construction equipment safely and effectively
• Follow all safety, environmental and quality requirements on Defence and Marine construction projects

Required profile

• Valid driver's licence
• Construction white card
• Strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship and attention to detail
• Reliable, self-motivated and able to work well in a team

Required skills

• Sound understanding of formwork systems including Meva, PERI and RMD
• Competence in operating EWPs and working safely at heights
