Forklift Operator / Yard Hand

About the role

Sims Limited is seeking a hands‑on Forklift Operator/Yard Hand to join its Minto facility. This day‑shift position offers consistent hours, on‑the‑job training and the chance to gain additional tickets over time.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload trucks, skip bins and trailers.
• Sort and grade ferrous and non‑ferrous metal.
• Provide a high standard of service to customers in the yard.
• Help maintain a safe and efficient yard environment.

Required profile

• Current forklift licence.
• Strong work ethic and reliable attendance.
• Ability to work independently and stay on task.
• Professional, customer‑focused approach.
• Willingness to learn and acquire new tickets.
• Experience in scrap metal or recycling is a bonus (training provided for the right candidate).
