About the role

Mercy Health is hiring a Food Services Assistant for its permanent part-time position at Mercy Place Cairns (Bethlehem). The role provides assistance with the delivery, preparation and heating of meals for residents. The position has fixed shifts every week.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist with the delivery of meals to residents
  • Help prepare meals
  • Help heat meals

Required profile

  • Resilient, compassionate and committed to patient-centred care
  • Excellent time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve
  • A compassionate, flexible and positive approach to patient care and management
  • Ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment
  • Current Police Record Check or NDIS worker clearance, or in the process of obtaining it
  • Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccinations consistent with public health orders
