Food Services and Site Assistant

About the role

Amplar Health's Transition Care Service has grown, opening a site in Adelaide and a new location in Walkerville. It is looking for Food Services and Site Assistants to work part-time between the Pullman Hotel in Adelaide's CBD and the Walkerville location. You will work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM on a rotating roster covering seven days, including weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients with their menus.
• Deliver meals to patient rooms with warmth and professionalism.
• Maintain cleanliness in service areas.
• Communicate with nursing and dietary staff about patient meal preferences or concerns.
• Follow all hygiene, safety and infection control protocols.
• Manage supplies and equipment for the Transition Care Service.

Required profile

• Caring, patient-focused attitude and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment and within a team.
• Previous experience in hospitality or healthcare preferred.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• South Australian Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance (or willingness and eligibility to obtain them).
• Willingness to provide proof of up-to-date vaccinations if successful.
