Food & Beverage Supervisor - Pullman Brisbane Airport

About the role

The Pullman Brisbane Airport hotel is part of the Brisbane Airport Hotels Group, which also includes the Novotel and ibis Brisbane Airport hotels and the Brisbane Airport Conference Centre. It offers 532 guest rooms, three restaurants, a rooftop event space, an executive lounge and 17 meeting spaces. The hotel is seeking a full-time, customer-service focused Food & Beverage Supervisor to support its hospitality team.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Restaurant & Bar Manager with day-to-day operations of all food and beverage outlets.
• Maintain a constant focus on an excellent guest experience.
• Lead, mentor and train the food and beverage team, and help recruit and induct new team members.
• Brief team members on specials and standard menu items.
• Ensure cleaning and maintenance of outlets, work areas, tableware, utensils and equipment.
• Handle escalated guest complaints and provide courteous, efficient, professional service.
• Ensure accuracy when ordering and delivering food and beverage orders.
• Know the hotel's products and facilities and upsell at every opportunity.
• Maintain hygiene standards for food handling and presentation.
• Liaise with the kitchen on special requests or delayed meals and supervise day-to-day food and beverage needs.

Required profile

• Ideally previous experience in a similar role, or a team leader ready for their next step.
• Previous hotel experience is preferable but not essential.
• Responsible Service of Alcohol certification (mandatory).
• RSA and Food Safety certificate is essential.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including early starts, weekends and public holidays.
• Well-groomed and professional appearance.
