Food & Beverage Assistant Manager – Gaming & Bar

About the role

Reporting to the Director of Food & Beverage, the Assistant Food & Beverage Manager – TCs/Gaming leads the operational and commercial performance of the gaming and bar venues at Sofitel Gold Coast Broadbeach. You will be responsible for revenue, compliance and team development while supporting overall hotel F&B operations.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver budgeted revenue, GOP and productivity targets across gaming and bar operations.
• Plan and execute gaming promotions, ensuring responsible gaming standards and regulatory compliance.
• Manage relationships with Licensed Monitoring Operators and external gaming partners.
• Oversee daily bar operations, coordinate functions within TCs and maximise profitability.
• Collaborate with Executive Chef and F&B leadership on menus, standards and venue activations.
• Maintain strict cash handling, key control and surveillance standards.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in a licensed bar and gaming venue or high‑volume F&B outlet.
• Current RSA and RSG certification and ability to obtain RMLV before start.
• Strong commercial acumen with P&L ownership and budgeting experience.
• Experience managing problem‑gambling matters in line with the Responsible Gambling Code of Practice.
• Ability to work a rotating roster including nights, weekends and public holidays.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Queensland liquor and gaming legislation and OLGR requirements.
• POS administration, stocktakes, reporting and audit documentation.
• High emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills for guest interaction and team coaching.
