Fleet Supervisor - Courier Delivery Team

About the role

A national specialised courier delivery company needs a permanent, full-time Fleet Supervisor based in Wacol, Brisbane, to oversee the performance and retention of a large team of Delivery Professionals serving one of Australia's largest retailers. The role is a 5-day week (Monday to Friday) from 5am to 1pm, with full training and a comprehensive handover provided.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the onboarding, retention and performance of the Delivery Professionals and build strong relationships within the team
• Lead performance reviews, identify areas for improvement and put strategies in place to drive outstanding performance
• Oversee the safety and compliance requirements of the team
• Identify inefficiencies in processes and operations and contribute to continuous improvement of the fleet

Required profile

• Relevant experience in a similar operational role in the transport or delivery sector
• Ability to lead a team while building strong relationships, with strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with performance management, budget tracking and process improvements
• Knowledge of safety and compliance requirements in the transport or delivery sectors
• Flexible to regular shift hours including 1 day each weekend
• Comprehensive knowledge of Brisbane suburbs; must live in Brisbane and hold full, long-term working rights in Australia
• Reliable vehicle and licence, and a police clearance

Required skills

• Sound IT skills with MS Office and FMS software
• Problem solving, meeting deadlines and being proactive
