First Aid Officer

About the role

JBS Rockhampton is recruiting an experienced First Aid Officer to join its team in a casual capacity of about 36 hours per week. Reporting to the HR Manager, the officer ensures the safety of team members by providing daily treatment of injuries and illnesses and monitoring their wellbeing and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Provide immediate first aid treatment to team members
• Assess the severity of injuries and escalate where required
• Be the first point of contact for all injuries and illnesses
• Collaborate with key stakeholders such as RTW, HR and supervisors
• Support the Return to Work and light duties programs

Required profile

• Previous experience in a similar First Aid or RTW role
• CPR and First Aid certificate required
• Strong communication and decision-making skills
• Ability to stay calm and help others stay calm, with an emotional and considerate patient care approach
• Team-focused mindset and willingness to help others
