Fire Assayer - Canning Vale

About the role

Bureau Veritas, a global leader in laboratory testing, inspection and certification, is looking for a Fire Assayer based in Canning Vale, Western Australia. The role sits within its Metals & Minerals business, which provides inspection and laboratory testing services across the exploration and mining project cycle. The assayer uses specialised equipment and performs manual handling tasks to prepare samples.

Key responsibilities

• Weigh samples for analysis.
• Carry out fluxing, firing, knock-up and cupellation of samples.
• Pick prills for digestion.
• Ensure correct procedures are followed.
• Follow QHSE procedures.

Required profile

• Reliable and keen to work.
• Physically fit and able to carry out manual tasks.
• Able to work an 8-hour rotating day, afternoon and night roster.
• Ability to follow set procedures and pay attention to detail.
• Willingness to work as part of a team focused on quality and safety.
