Financial Services Officer

About the role

Elders is seeking a Financial Services Officer to join its team in Albany on a permanent, full-time basis. The role supports both customers and colleagues with specialist knowledge, providing ongoing training and guidance so the whole branch is confident in delivering its full suite of financial services.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the branch's go-to person for all financial services products
• Train and share product knowledge with other team members
• Develop and run an annual branch financial services business plan to support yearly growth
• Run sales campaigns to identify client opportunities across the product suite
• Grow the deposit book by offering one-on-one personal service: opening accounts, maintenance, rollovers and enquiries, following operational procedures and complying fully with statutory requirements such as AML/CTF
• Help customers with seasonal finance products, including own-balance-sheet lending and lending through third-party providers
• Refer clients to other products: Agri Finance loans, commercial and asset finance, and insurance

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in administrative functions
• Preferred but not essential: experience in the agricultural or related industries
• Preferred but not essential: experience in a sales-focused environment or within banking and financial services
• Excellent customer service track record
• Able to work well with internal teams and external partners
