Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst

About the role

BNK Bank is looking for a Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst to join its finance team. The role offers broad exposure across FP&A, treasury, capital management, reporting and strategic projects, working closely with the CFO, CEO, Executive Leadership Team and the Board. It suits someone who wants to grow their FP&A career in an ASX-listed banking environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the planning, forecasting and budgeting of the Group, including quarterly forecast updates, the annual budget and the three-year plan.
• Develop, maintain and enhance financial models with appropriate governance and controls.
• Deliver ad hoc financial analysis, modelling and scenario planning to support business decisions.
• Prepare monthly business results and analysis for the CEO, Executive Leadership Team and the Board.
• Monitor financial KPIs such as capital ratios, ROE, NIM, cost-income and liquidity ratios.
• Support Treasury with liquidity and funding assessments and reporting.
• Assess short-term funding requirements and investment opportunities to optimise yield and NIM.
• Assist with annual budgets, rolling forecasts, quarterly updates and five-year strategic planning.
• Support capital management activities including ICAAP reviews and funding plans.
• Prepare Asset and Liability Committee (ALCO) reporting and provide secretariat support.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• CA or CPA qualification (or near completion).
• At least 2 years' experience in a finance, FP&A, treasury or analytical finance role.
• Banking or financial services experience highly regarded.
• Ability to work independently and within a team, with strong communication, stakeholder management and attention to detail.

• Strong financial modelling and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
