Financial Controller, APAC

About the role

Covetrus is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead its APAC finance team. You will be responsible for delivering accurate, timely financial results and providing analysis that supports key business decisions across a complex, purpose‑driven organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the core Financial Accounting team, setting and achieving performance objectives.
• Drive employee performance and engagement through training, professional development and alignment with corporate goals.
• Oversee monthly consolidated financial reporting for APAC entities (Australia, New Zealand, China, Hong Kong).
• Prepare and present financial results to senior finance executives and the US global headquarters on a regular and ad‑hoc basis.
• Ensure compliance, maintain robust internal controls and manage internal and external audits.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Commerce with CA/CPA accreditation.
• Proven senior leadership experience in a complex, international business environment.
• Advanced proficiency in financial reporting, variance analysis and business commentary.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, adaptable to diverse internal stakeholders.
• Strong time‑management abilities with an agile approach to prioritisation.
