Financial Control Manager

About the role

A leading organisation is seeking an experienced Financial Control Manager to join its finance leadership team. The role offers broad responsibility for financial reporting, control, statutory compliance and team management within a complex corporate environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Oversee preparation of statutory financial statements and annual reporting requirements.
• Ensure integrity of the balance sheet and broader financial control framework.
• Maintain strong governance, compliance and internal control processes.
• Manage external audit relationships and coordinate audit deliverables.
• Support regulatory reporting requirements and finance transformation initiatives.
• Lead, mentor and develop a small team of finance professionals.
• Drive continuous improvement across reporting processes, controls and systems.

Required profile

• CA or CPA qualified with strong technical accounting capabilities.
• Financial control or financial reporting experience within a large, complex organisation.
• Proven experience managing month‑end, year‑end and annual reporting processes.
• Previous leadership experience with the ability to develop and mentor a team.
• Exposure to highly regulated industries; financial services experience viewed favourably.
