Financial Analyst – APAC Finance Team

About the role

Join Argon & Co’s APAC Finance team as a Financial Analyst, based in Sydney or Melbourne. You will work closely with the CFO APAC, Partners and business stakeholders to deliver reliable financial reporting, strong controls and commercial insight across Australia and New Zealand.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate monthly financial statements, profit & loss, balance sheet and cash flow reports.
• Coordinate month‑end close activities, including journals, accruals, provisions and reconciliations.
• Analyse financial performance, variances and profitability, providing clear commentary for senior stakeholders.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow analysis and sales pipeline visibility.
• Assist with tax, statutory reporting (BAS, payroll tax, PAYG, IRD) and audit preparation.
• Identify and implement process improvements and reporting initiatives.

Required profile

• Degree in finance, accounting, business or related field; CA or CPA desirable.
• 2‑4 years of experience in financial accounting, analysis or a comparable role.
• Strong understanding of general ledger, month‑end close, variance analysis and accounting principles.
• Experience with tax, statutory compliance and audit support.
• Permanent full working rights in Australia.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite.
• Familiarity with Power BI or similar reporting tools.
