Financial Accountant

About the role

Standards Australia, the peak standards development organisation in Australia, is looking for a Financial Accountant. In this role you will ensure that all financial information is accurately collected, analysed, interpreted and reported in a timely manner, owning month-end close tasks, balance sheet reconciliations and internal project reporting, and assisting with statutory tax and financial reporting obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform month-end financial accounting tasks, including journal postings and balance sheet reconciliations
• Manage month-end profit and loss and balance sheet variance analysis
• Assist with year-end statutory accounts, including preparing audit work papers and audit requests
• Assist with tax reporting obligations, including FBT, workers compensation and preparation of monthly BASs
• Prepare externally funded project reports and hold meetings with project managers

Required profile

• At least 5 years' experience in a similar role
• CPA/CA qualified
• Eligible applicants must be Australian citizens, permanent residents or have legal rights to work in Australia

Required skills

• Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O (or similar ERP)
• Employment Hero (or similar payroll system)
• Calumo (or similar reporting tool)
