Financial Accountant

About the role

AutoGrab is seeking a Financial Accountant to ensure the integrity, compliance, and efficiency of its financial operations. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will manage core accounting functions in a fast‑growing tech scale‑up.

Key responsibilities

• Record financial transactions, maintain the general ledger and prepare monthly, quarterly and year‑end reports.
• Own end‑to‑end accounts payable, banking, cash management, accounts receivable and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Process payroll, staff incentive payments and manage statutory returns (BAS, FBT, PAYG, Superannuation).
• Liaise with internal and external auditors and drive improvements in financial processes and systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CA or CPA qualified.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in technology, SaaS or start‑up environments.
• Strong attention to detail, proactive mindset and ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively.

Required skills

• Double‑entry bookkeeping and financial statement preparation (AASB).
• Australian tax regulations knowledge.
• Proficiency with Xero accounting software.
• Advanced Excel for financial modelling, analysis and reporting.
