Finance Officer

About the role

The Finance Officer will join IQRA College in Adelaide, supporting the institution’s financial operations. This full‑time, on‑site position involves preparing accurate financial statements, managing cash flow, and ensuring compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and maintain financial statements, accounts payable/receivable and general ledger entries.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes and assist with financial reporting for leadership and regulators.
• Monitor cash flow, reconcile bank accounts and analyse variances.
• Provide financial insights to aid decision‑making across academic and administrative teams.
• Respond to finance‑related queries and contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes and controls.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or a related field (preferred).
• Experience in budgeting, cash flow management and general accounting practices.
• Ability to prepare and analyse financial statements and reports in line with applicable standards.
• Strong analytical ability, attention to detail and integrity handling confidential information.
• Knowledge of education sector finance or non‑profit accounting is an advantage.
