Finance Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Finance Manager to lead a small finance team in the inner west of Sydney. Reporting to the CFO, you will be second‑in‑charge of finance and own the delivery of all financial reporting for the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end and financial reporting, including P&L, balance‑sheet, reconciliations and consolidated reporting across entities.
• Provide financial insight to senior leadership through management reporting, variance analysis and recommendations.
• Own budgeting, forecasting and financial planning, including annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
• Manage the annual external audit and act as primary contact for auditors.
• Lead and develop a finance team of four direct reports, setting priorities and coaching staff.
• Drive technology, automation and AI initiatives to improve reporting and data quality.
• Act as finance lead for ERP and systems optimisation, ensuring integration across departments.
• Ensure regulatory and statutory compliance, maintain strong financial controls and support audit readiness.

Required profile

• CPA or CA qualified with extensive experience in financial control, strategic planning and business partnering.
• Proven track record managing finance teams and delivering accurate financial and management reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to lead process improvements, system transformations and foster a culture of accountability.

Required skills

• Experience with NetSuite ERP.
