Finance Manager

About the role

The Finance Manager will lead the Finance team, reporting directly to the CEO, and ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance, and robust accounting operations. This role provides strategic insight to the executive team and founders to support sound business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support the Finance team, providing direction and day‑to‑day operational oversight.
• Deliver accurate, timely monthly reporting, budgeting, and financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, tax obligations, and reporting standards.
• Manage relationships with external stakeholders such as auditors, the ATO, ASIC, and banking partners.
• Oversee cash‑flow, accounts payable approvals, and the integrity of financial data in Xero.
• Identify efficiency opportunities, improve processes, and maintain internal financial policies and controls.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting with CA or CPA certification and ongoing CPD.
• Significant experience in a financial leadership role within a business environment.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge, including statutory and consolidated reporting.
• Solid understanding of Australian taxation rules and regulatory requirements.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Xero accounting software.
• Advanced Excel capabilities.
