Finance Business Partner Lead – Customer

About the role

As the Finance Business Partner Lead – Customer, you will be based at Qantas’ Mascot headquarters on an 18‑month fixed‑term contract. You will work closely with senior leaders in the Customer business unit to drive commercial outcomes, shape strategic decisions and support large‑scale transformation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior executives to provide financial planning, analysis and strategic advice.
• Lead complex financial modelling and scenario analysis to identify value‑creation opportunities.
• Influence key business decisions by delivering clear, data‑driven insights.
• Support the execution of transformation programmes across the Customer portfolio.
• Develop and mentor a high‑performing finance team.

Required profile

• Significant experience in finance business partnering, commercial or strategic finance leadership.
• CPA, CA or equivalent professional qualification.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders in a complex organisation.
• Strong commercial acumen and the capacity to translate financial insight into business outcomes.
• Demonstrated experience leading teams and developing talent.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making capabilities.
• Advanced communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
