Finance Analyst

About the role

Arc'teryx, part of Amer Sports, is growing its business across Australia and New Zealand and is looking for a Finance Analyst to support financial planning, reporting and analysis across the entire Arc'teryx business. Working closely with stakeholders, the analyst helps identify opportunities, manage financial performance and inform investment decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial reports and consolidated reporting packages, including performance commentary, variance analysis and insights for business reviews.
• Analyse financial performance, operating expenses and key KPIs, identifying trends, risks and opportunities.
• Partner with department managers and budget holders to develop and manage operating budgets, investigate variances and recommend actions.
• Support budgets, forecasts and strategic business plans, and sales forecasting and profitability analysis across channels and regions.
• Develop financial reporting for regional, channel and global performance reviews, including monthly and quarterly business reviews.
• Review and reconcile financial information and accounting transactions, including invoice coding.
• Maintain and improve financial planning, budgeting and reporting tools and systems, including SAP.

Required profile

• 2-3 years' experience in accounting, financial analysis or a similar role.
• Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline (or equivalent experience); progress towards a professional accounting qualification is highly regarded.
• Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and month-end processes.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with financial systems, reporting tools and large datasets.
