Finance Analyst

About the role

Join Universal Music Australia as a Finance Analyst, partnering with Labels, Brands, Sync and Recording Studios to turn numbers into insights that shape decisions across budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Own loading, consolidation and accuracy of forecast and budget income, margins and marketing cost loads.
• Prepare internal finance packs, divisional and project reporting, and monthly management reporting with clear commentary.
• Analyse project profitability with the Brands team and provide insights on revenue pipelines for Sync, Management Commission and Recording Studios.
• Review overheads, monitor spend against budget and track A&R spends per label.

Required profile

• 3-5 years experience in management accounting, reporting and commercial analysis.
• Strong organisational skills, meticulous attention to detail and ability to communicate financial information to both finance and non‑finance stakeholders.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑moving, creative environment with changing priorities and tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel
• Experience with ERP systems; exposure to SAP, BPC, Power BI, HFM or Business Objects
