Finance Analyst - Aged Care Portfolio

About the role

The Salvation Army is looking for an analytical, commercially minded Finance Analyst to help build the financial sustainability of its Aged Care portfolio. You will turn financial data into clear insights, support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning, and work closely with finance and operational stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare timely financial reports, performance analysis and variance commentary to support operational and strategic decisions.
• Support annual budgets, forecasts and long-term financial plans, including financial modelling and scenario analysis.
• Partner with operational leaders and budget owners to give financial insights, challenge assumptions and promote accountability.
• Maintain accurate financial records, including balance sheet reconciliations, and support compliance with financial policies and governance.
• Identify opportunities to streamline reporting, automate processes and improve the use of finance systems and analytical tools.
• Contribute to audits, statutory reporting and finance projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and management reporting.
• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to interpret financial information, identify trends and communicate findings clearly.
• CPA or CA qualification, or progress towards completion, is desirable.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel, including financial modelling and analysis.
• Power BI or similar business intelligence and reporting tools are highly regarded.
