Fieldwork Placement Supervisor - Community Services

About the role

Acknowledge Education, an Australian provider of higher education and vocational programs, is seeking a Fieldwork Placement Supervisor for its Community Services program. Based at the Oxford Street Campus in Sydney, this full-time role links students, placement organisations and the College so that students have a positive and successful placement experience. It works closely with the Course Coordinator and Placement Team.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain positive relationships with students, placement providers and community stakeholders.
• Act as the main liaison between students, host organisations and the College during placements.
• Hold placement liaison meetings to monitor progress, give support and address concerns.
• Support students with placement requirements, learning goals and assessment expectations.
• Assess and grade placement-related student work.
• Identify and escalate placement issues for timely support and intervention.
• Maintain accurate records and update stakeholders regularly.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and support regulatory and compliance requirements.

Required profile

• Post-graduate degree in community work, social welfare, human services, social work or a related field.
• At least three years of broad, relevant practical experience after qualification in the community services industry.
• Genuine commitment to supporting student learning and success.
• Desirable: experience in higher education, student placements or workplace learning; experience supporting international and culturally diverse students; knowledge of InPlace, Moodle or RTO Manager; experience in student assessment, supervision or mentoring.
