Early Childhood Educator (Reggio Emilia)

About the role

Reddam Early Learning Schools, part of Inspired Education Group, offers a holistic early years program for children aged 1-5 years, with a focus on emotional, social and cognitive development. The Early Childhood Educator works alongside the Room Leader in an inquiry-based program inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy, builds trusting partnerships with families and helps prepare children for the next stage of their learning.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Room Leader in delivering an engaging, inquiry-based program suited to children aged 1-5 years.
• Maintain ongoing documentation of each child's development, using reflection to inform planning and individualised support.
• Observe and assess children and plan for a small group, supporting their holistic development.
• Create stimulating indoor and outdoor learning environments that encourage curiosity and creativity.
• Build respectful partnerships with families, giving regular updates and involving them in their child's learning.
• Work with the wider team to promote an inclusive, supportive culture and contribute to team planning and professional growth.
• Keep the environment safe and nurturing, meeting regulatory requirements and the school's high standards of care.

Required profile

• Certificate III, Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education and Care, or actively working towards these qualifications.
• Valid Working With Children Check (WWCC), or the ability to obtain one.
• Experience in early childhood education and a genuine interest in supporting young children's development.
• Willingness to engage with the Reggio Emilia philosophy and child-led learning, and to take part in school-wide initiatives.
