Fieldwork Education Coordinator - Community Services

About the role

Acknowledge Education, part of the UP Education group, is seeking a Fieldwork Placement Coordinator for its Community Services program. The role coordinates student placements, supports industry partnerships and contributes to teaching, assessment and student support. It is a permanent, full-time position based in Surry Hills.

Key responsibilities

• Assess placement requirements, coordinate student-to-agency matching, deliver placement inductions and work with industry partners so that placement and academic requirements are met.
• Develop and maintain teaching materials, deliver learning experiences, support assessment and give timely, constructive feedback to students.
• Prepare students for professional practice, monitor progress, identify those needing extra support and work with colleagues to address concerns.
• Maintain accurate placement and assessment records, ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements, and contribute to moderation and continuous improvement.
• Build working relationships with placement agencies, supervisors and academic colleagues.

Required profile

• Experienced Community Services, Human Services, Welfare Work or Social Work professional.
• Ideally a postgraduate qualification (AQF Level 8 or above) in Community Services, Welfare Work, Human Services, Social Work or a related discipline.
• At least three years of relevant post-qualification industry experience.
• Strong understanding of the theory, practice and professional expectations of the community services sector.
• Willingness to complete at least 20 hours of continuing professional development each year.
• Experience in fieldwork placement coordination, tertiary teaching, academic assessment or higher education delivery is highly regarded but not required.
